Job Description

The core objective of the platform product manager includes managing the engineering team,  improving the platform functionalities, and future developments of the platform. The product manager should be able to prioritize the work components by understanding end-users requirements and creating functionality that spans multiple product lines. The platform product manager needs to understand the large strategic vision well enough to make short and long-term trade-offs.

 

 

  Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaboration across development and business development departments, which includes application managers, developers, software architects, project leaders, business developers, and marketing.

  • Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the platform functionalities, based on the market feedback and technology requirements

  • Professional participation and support in developing futuristic features 

  • Single point contact for the project topics

  • Test new features to ensure quality for release.

  • Manage defect prioritization and provide solutions.

  • Understand the technical requirements for the completion of new initiatives and ensures the development team is set up for success.

 

 

  Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. A Master's degree/MBA is an added advantage.

  • 4-5 years of working experience in a similar position.

  • Experience in procurement digitalization/ digital sourcing platforms is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of processes and applications in the B2B area. 

  • Should be a platform strategist and  implementation expertise

  • Strong background in software solutions, web-based, and cloud-based software solutions, and process and workflow management.

  • Experience in current cloud technologies (AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud Platforms).

  • Very good analytical and communication skills.

  • Goal-oriented, responsible, and self-initiative.

  • Experience in creating documentation, presentations, and concepts.

  • Experience in addressing different stakeholder groups.

  • Proficient English language knowledge. The German language is an added advantage.

 

 

 

Location: Augsburg, Germany

Working hours: Full-Time
